Herbert Quandt House

The newest WHU building is the Herbert Quandt House, which contains two lecture halls, nine rooms for group work, the library, computer room and a number of departments and Centers.
The two lecture halls are equipped with cutting-edge media technology. The traditional blackboard is now a thing of the past, having been replaced by whiteboards and beamers. The larger of the two lecture halls boasts 196 seats, which, with an average class of 85 students, could almost be regarded as excessive. But the “Audiomax” is not only used for lectures - it also plays host to ceremonies, including the awarding of the Vordiplom, large-scale presentations, and international congresses such as the Campus for Finance. The smaller lecture hall holds 88 students, and with its semi-circular design, is a purpose-built MBA hall. It is primarily used for the Kellogg WHU EMBA program, although the excellent facilities it offers make it very popular among all students and professors. There is also an internet connection at every seat.
The rooms for group work are designed to hold up to 14 students. During the week, they are used for seminars and working groups of Bachelor and Diplom students. On weekends, the EMBA students solve their cases here.
