European Bachelor Summer Institute

In the summer, WHU offers the European BA Summer Institute as a two-week course on "The Business, Political and Cultural Environment in Europe" for undergraduate students of WHU's international partner universities.

The course takes place on the attractive campus of WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, located just outside of Koblenz in the Middle Rhine Valley, one hour away from Frankfurt! The two-week program, directed by Professor Michael Frenkel, offers a four credit hour class focusing on the following topics:
- Trade Integration in Europe and the European Union
- Monetary Integration in Europe: The Euro as Europe's Common Currency
- Competing in European Markets
- Innovation Management in European Markets
- Eastern Europe - From Communism to a Market Economy
- Foreign Direct Investment Opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe
- European Marketing
The European Bachelor Summer Institute is tailored to Bachelor students in business administration, who are interested to learn more about the business environment in Europe.
With its close to 500 million inhabitants, a production value exceeding the one of the USA, and its dynamic markets in a number of countries, Europe has again become and interesting region for international business.
The European Bachelor Summer Institute integrates cultural experiences and practical business examples, including on-site visits. The language of instruction is English.
