as a part-time (50% or 75%) faculty position

Your profile

You are an ambitious team player who holds an excellent Master Degree in business related subjects, Psychology, or Statistics. You have successfully completed your studies or will do so soon.
You are able to work independently and goal-oriented. You possess very good language skills in English (as a native speaker or through a longer stay abroad) and excellent analytical skills. You will enjoy working with us if you have a passion for business related topics in science.

Your tasks

We are searching for research assistants for our core topics such as (team) decision making in supplier selection contexts, strategy execution, and sourcing of raw materials. Your dissertation should tie to one of our ongoing research streams. We work empirical and therefore closely related to practice.
Your main task is your Ph.D. project in which you develop scientific publications for highly ranked international refereed journals. Furthermore, you are engaged in teaching, practical projects, and chair administration which will be reasonably integrated in your dissertation project. Your time at our chair will give you an optimal preparation for a career in either academia and/or management after having completed your dissertation.

About us

You will be working for a research-oriented institution located in Vallendar, near Frankfurt in Germany. We develop publications for leading scientific journals in the area of procurement, international business, and applied psychology. Our research deals with current phenomena in internationally operating companies, which we analyze using quantitative as well as qualitative methods.
We work in an open and cooperative atmosphere between research assistants, assistant professors, and the professor. In our intensive project work we put high emphasis on regular coordination and timely feedback.
We have close working relationships to well-known researchers, e.g., at partner universities of the WHU. Furthermore, we have a wide network with companies for empirical projects. If you want to accomplish your Ph.D. on a scientifically ambitious topic, we are looking forward to your application.
