Functionality of Rankings

University rankings serve to evaluate the quality of research and science at universities as well as the development of the faculty. While some rankings develop lists with single ranking positions, other rankings simply group universities into different levels.

Financial Times European Business School Ranking 2013

The Financial Times European Business School Ranking is a kind of "meta ranking" based on how well each school performs in the individual program rankings. In the recent Financial Times European Business School RankingWHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management was ranked 21st among the top 75 business schools in Europe. WHU is once again the top-ranked business school in Germany and solidifies its place among the top schools in Europe.

Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking 2013

WHU participated for the third time in the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking. The School’s MSc in Management program was ranked third worldwide, third in Europe, and considered the best in Germany. According to the Financial Times WHU is top for general management (ranked 3rd), International Business (ranked 5th) and Finance (ranked 6th). Regarding “Placement success” WHU’s alumni have given the best ranked to the career center for its top performance.

Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking 2013

For the 13th consecutive year, the Financial Times ranked the best Executive MBA programs worldwide in its annual “Financial Times EMBA Rankings”. The joint program of Kellogg School of Management and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management was ranked the best EMBA program in Germany for the fifth time in a row and number eight within the top ten of European business schools.

WirtschaftsWoche (WiWo) Recruiter’s University Ranking 2013

In the annually published „Recruiter’s University Ranking 2013” of  WirtschaftsWoche, WHU ranked fifth in the field of business administration, maintaining its place from the past two years. WHU ranks first place among all German private business schools. 500 Human Resource managers participated in the survey and rated graduates from different private business schools significantly better than graduates from public universities in terms of demeanor, international experience, durance of studies, and foreign languages.

Universum Student Survey 2013

WHU was ranked in the first place in the general student satisfaction section reported in the Universum Student Survey 2013. In all fields, WHU was clearly above average and was rated top ten in the fields of school reputation, business contacts, study abroad opportunities, internationalization of the school, career service, and access to service facilities by students.

Trendence Graduate Barometer 2013

In a survey conducted by Trendence of more 34,883 students from 131 universities, WHU was ranked “top performance” in 5 and “good” in 3 out of a total of 9 categories. Students were exceptionally satisfied with career service, support by faculty and staff, students’ initiatives, and study abroad options, among other areas.

QS Top MBA: 2013 Europe MBA Ranking

QS features 65 business schools and MBA programs across a variety of key criteria and produces reports throughout the year which help people rank MBA programs and business schools in their region. In the regional ranking “QS Top MBA: 2013 Europe MBA Ranking” WHU is listed among the best European business schools. The list is compiled from an annual survey of international employers.

The Economist Which MBA? Executive MBA Ranking 2013

This is the Economist’s first ranking for executive MBA programs around the globe. The programs are measured in two broad categories: personal development and career progress. The Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA was ranked 7th out of the best 60 Executive MBA programs around the world.
