Accreditations by internationally renowned accreditation agencies prove that the school operates in line with the highest international quality standards.
In 1998, WHU became the first German business school to be accredited by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). Based on that, WHU has been reaccredited in 2004 and 2009. This recognition is granted as a sign of approval for international business schools. The fundamental objective of EQUIS is to raise the standard of management education worldwide. Institutions accredited by EQUIS must demonstrate not only high general quality in all dimensions of their activities, but also a high degree of internationalization.
In 2010, WHU has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). WHU was the fourth business school in Germany to be accredited by AACSB. AACSB is characterized by outstanding commitment to high quality and constant improvement as well as a particularly strict and broad expert assessment. AACSB has placed special emphasis on the excellent quality of the study program as well as the internationality of WHU.
