Excellence in
Management
Education

Tuition for the Bachelor program in Business Administration/Management is €5,175 per semester (210cr Track add. € 862,50 per semester). The Management Abroad Course costs € 1,260.
However, inability to pay the tuition fees has never prevented anyone from attending WHU. Solely the applicant’s personality and ability to perform count, not the social background. WHU offers students a series of financing options in order to ensure that everyone who has been successful in obtaining admission can study at WHU.
Tuition-free enrollment is available for 15 percent of WHU students. These spots are awarded based on the German Federal Education and Training Assistance Act (Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz - BAföG). The precondition for access to tuition-free enrollment is a claim to BAföG assistance based on income and assets. Fulfillment of the income and asset requirements must be verified by submission of a BAföG certificate.
All students with income and assets of up to €7,670 above the BaföG limit per year (attributable income and assets equivalent to the BaföG assistance limit) are eligible for reduced tuition. There is a set total amount available for tuition reduction. The amount of the reduction is thus determined by the number of eligible students. In a best case scenario, the tuition can be completely offset.
Application for a tuition-free enrollment or reduced tuition has absolutely no impact on the selection or admission process. Members of the examination commission have no knowledge concerning the status of applicants (tuition-free/conventional enrollment). In the event that the number of recommended tuition-free applicants is higher than the number of tuition-free slots, these will be filled in the order of applicants’ ranking in the selection process. In such cases, the remaining tuition-free applicants are at least offered reduced tuition.
Moreover, WHU offers further assistance in the financing of studies to the extent that it can. For this purpose, the university has arranged low-interest loans for students with Sparkasse Koblenz, which are available to all WHU students without special collateral requirements. The student agreement is adequate as security for the bank.
As a result of the selection process, WHU students have a good chance of acceptance in a scholarship program. Nearly 20 percent of WHU students are funded by a grant or endowment. Seven percent are scholarship recipients from the German National Academic Association (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). Also the following foundations support WHU students:
