Excellence in
Management
Education

The MLB Program lasts for 12 months and consists of the following components:
In fall term the coursework is designed to insure that all students have an understanding of the fundamentals of both international business law and international business concepts. Spring and summer term courses address a wide range of topics from both a legal and a business perspective.
Many courses in international management are closely coordinated with courses in international business law. Exercises and case studies are used to enable students to apply the concepts, frameworks, and techniques learned within the courses. Virtually all course offerings will be oriented toward one of two major topics: the founding and expansion of an enterprise, and the negotiation, performance, and resolution of disputes arising out of a purchase and sale agreement for goods shipped from Asia to Europe.
The entire program is accompanied by a “Studium Generale” (general course of studies) which consists of lectures and other events in international politics, business ethics topics as well as outlines of German and European culture, society and politics. In addition to the jurisprudence and business studies courses, the participants are taught in practical competencies. The students take writing courses in how to draw up English-language contracts, letters and memos as well as courses in negotiation skills.
