The FIBAA Premium Seal officially awarded to the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA Program

WHU now the sole German university to have earned the Premium Seal multiple times

„The awarding of the Premium Seal is also a memorable moment for the FIBAA,” said Thorsten Shomann, Head of Institional Proceedings at FIBAA, during the awards ceremony where the  Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA Program officially received the recognition as a result of its exceptional level of quality. According to Schomann, WHU has not only exemplified itself in the field of excellence in research, but also mastering challenges such meeting the revolutionary Bologna-Process requirements. Through such achievements, WHU has been able to provide an ideal environment for Life-Long-Learning, as well as high quality within individual Programs. “What binds us is the collaborative quest for quality,” continued Thorsten Schomann. He praised the noteworthy WHU Spirit, which has, among other things, lead to the quality demonstrated by WHU today. “WHU is the only German university, which has earned the Premium Seal multiple times,” emphasized Shomann. In addition to the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA Program, the Full-time MBA Program as well as the Bachelor of Science Program have also been previously awarded the Premium Seal.

“I am very pleased with this extraordinary award of recognition, as well as the outstanding cooperation with the FIBAA, through whom I have repeatedly experienced honest and constructive dialog over the years,” emphasized Professor Michael Frenkel, Dean WHU.  The FIBAA has shown itself to be a dependable partner in regards to the development of quality within the University. Dean Frenkel also thanked his colleagues who are responsible for the Program: “What the EMBA team has accomplished is paramount and has made this enormous success possible.”

THE FIBAA oversees and acknowledges post-graduate Programs which meet and exceed specific quality standards.  The Criteria examined to earn the Premium Seal include the objectives of the Program, its international dimensions, co-operations and partnerships with high-quality partners, the logical construction of the curriculum ensuring a well rounded education, as well as the integration of theory and practice.

The FIBAA Premium Seal

The FIBAA Premium Seal is awarded to established courses of study already having program graduates. Additionally, the program must demonstrate extraordinarily high standards in studies and teaching. This award confirms that a course of study distinctly surpasses the quality standards and provides prospective participants, current Program participants, Alumni, educational institutions and employers reliable information regarding the outstanding quality of the course of study.
