Thomas Fehr was born in Freiburg in 1975. While studying business at the University of Karlsruhe he started his career at Commerzbank in 1996. At Commerzbank he worked in different positions for several departments. Simultaneously he completed his Executive Master of Business Engineering at the University St. Gallen.

Thomas Fehr was involved in projects of the inhouse consulting like the integration of the Schmidt Bank or the implementation of the online banking of the Commerzbank. Later on he worked for the group strategy department with a focus on M&A-projects such as the acquisition of Eurohypo and sales of international asset management companies.

In 2007 he was promoted to be the head of the Business Developments of the Wealth Management, where he was responsible for the repositioning of the business. At last he was involved in the integration of the Dresdner Bank, in particular with the consolidation of international subcompanies as well as with the conception for a common domestic Wealth Management.

In August 2009 he became Managing Director of Commerzbank International S.A. Luxembourg.
