Our core areas of competence are Management Accounting and Management Control – both of which are key success factors for corporate management.

We believe that when academia and industry work together, all parties benefit as a result. For this reason, our research findings are practice-oriented and we work collaboratively with partners from industry. This collaboration takes different forms:

• Leading German companies have been working closely and trustully together in the Center for Controlling und Management (CCM) for over ten years now.
• With more than 900 members, the WHU Controller Panel carries out regular studies to identify benchmarks and best practice in Controlling.
• We frequently give presentations of our findings and produce numerous publications for practitioners, as well as our scientific journal Advanced Controlling and the Zeitschrift für Controlling & Management (ZfCM). In this way, we can make our knowledge more accessible to a wider audience.
• The Campus for Controlling gives practitioners the opportunity to meet once a year in Vallendar to discuss the latest trends in Controlling.
