The Center for Controlling & Management (CCM) was founded in 2000, thus providing a permanent platform for leading companies to work closely and trustfully with the IMC. The CCM aims to shorten the process of implementing new scientific knowledge, while facilitating an extensive and systematic exchange of experiences, and also promoting the development of a Controlling Community.
In its scope, form and content, the CCM is unique in Germany. The list of cooperating companies illustrates a largely representative sample of the largest companies in Germany. Together with the WHU Controller Panel, the IMC has at its disposal a comprehensive and in-depth insight into controlling practices in the German-speaking countries.
The CCM has achieved its aims, as the following quotation indicates: "With activities in five business areas in more than 350 companies, here in management accounting and control at Lufthansa we are faced with new challenges time and again. In order to find the best solution, it is essential that we look beyond our own company gates. The WHU's extensive research consistently provides us with valuable impulses in this area." (Karl-Heinz Steinke, Director of Controlling and Cost Management, Deutsche Lufthansa AG)
The CCM is headed by Prof. Jürgen Weber, Prof. Utz Schäffer und Asst. Prof. Erik Strauß. The team comprises the following research assistants: Jochen Botta, Sigrid Gschmack, Timo Meyer, Sabine Spittler, Torben Tretbar and Leona Wiegmann. Administrative support is provided by Evelyn Busch.
