Education

The Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC) regularly hosts conferences and conventions around its academic and business-oriented activities. These provide a platform for academics at other national and international universities as well as management accountants and managers from the business community to exchange information and ideas.
The Campus for Controlling focuses on corporate practice and is the annual convention of the Controller Panel, a long term study that collects benchmark data in core areas of Controlling and explores long-term trends and topics of current interest.
In addition to the events organized by the IMC, Prof. Utz Schäffer and Prof. Jürgen Weber are regularly involved in external conferences and conventions, such as Controlling World, the Management Circle Annual Congress for controlling experts, and also the Controller Congress in Munich. The latter is organized by the International Controller Association (ICV), which has more than 6,000 members actively involved in applied controlling of small, mid-sized and large companies. Prof. Jürgen Weber is Chairman of the ICV Board of Trustees (www.controllerverein.com).
