Zeitschrift für Controlling und Management

The Vision

Our aim is to bridge the gap between science and practice, research and application, and the varying views of academics and practitioners, and to share our knowledge with our readers.

We encourage and invite fruitful dialog between practitioners and researchers. This exchange of knowledge serves to provide controllers with new ideas and ways of doing things. At the same time, we keep one clear goal in mind: To be the information instrument of the the controlling community.

Our editorial team: Keke Hiller, Fabian Kleinschmit, Stefanie Malz and Steffen Seibert.

Key Facts

  • Jürgen Weber, Dirk Hachmeister, Thomas Hess and Utz Schäffer are the editors of "Zeitschrift für Controlling und Management" (ZfCM) (Journal for Controlling and Management)
  • ZfCM was first published in 1957 (under the name of "krp - Kostenrechnungspraxis" until 2003) and is the leading German Controlling journal
  • Our approach is deliberately focused on the dialog between research and practice
  • Readers include board members, executive managers, controllers of large corporations, managers and controllers of small and medium-sized companies and, of course, business owners
  • At the same time, ZfCM is aimed at academics wanting to give their research a practice-based orientation
