Excellence in

Education

At its core, the association exists to provide financial and moral support to WHU. This is achieved through the close and enduring contact In Praxi members have within their community. Existing and newly created friendships, as well as a network, are cultivated and actively promoted. Furthermore, the In Praxi—WHU Alumni Association offers a multitude of events and services. Activities for personal and career development are as important to our service portfolio as maintaining the relationships WHU has with its alumni.
WHU’s alumni support the university with direct private donations in significant amounts. Moreover, they help the university through their efforts at obtaining businesses as sponsors. A majority of the income from In Praxi membership fees is donated to the university. Added to this are funds raised in sponsorship campaigns related to projects such as the Diversity Scholarship. In addition, the alumni support a variety of student initiatives, examples of which include the WHU First Responder’s emergency vehicle or the aid project “WHU Students Help!”
In light of the great significance of this financial support, the In Praxi Foundation was created in 1995. As a sister organization, the Foundation’s goal is to establish a long-term spirit of giving among alumni, thereby supporting WHU in an enduring and sustainable way.
Alongside this important financial assistance, many alumni also help in practical ways. For example, they act as examiners in student admissions testing, or contribute to the academic program as speaker and and workshop leaders with practical experience. The development of students’ character and interpersonal skills is a special concern for the alumni. With this in mind, the In Praxi Coaching Program came into being. In this program, teams of volunteer alumni offer to students the chance to get professional training in “soft skills.”
