Forms of Support
There are many ways to support WHU. Along with endowments to the Foundation, chairs and centers, providing scholarships, research funding or support for needy students offer important funding opportunities.
Numerous individuals, foundations and companies have contributed to the funding of construction projects, to the furnishings and to technical equipment at WHU.
Support for WHU can be provided as either a donation or a sponsorship.
Donations may be for general use, or for a specific charitable purpose in line with tax laws, such as research funding, support of needy students or promotion of international exchange programs. Donations of materials and cash for the improvement of the university infrastructure, computer facilities or libraries are also welcome.
A sponsor has a choice of numerous support options, for example provision of a scholarship, support of a specific course offering, research funding for projects, financing of an academic staff position or an entire chair.
The scope of the services offered in return depends on the scope of the commitment, and is negotiated individually with the sponsor.
