TEDxWHU

Founded in 2015, TEDxWHU aims to provide a platform for today’s most revolutionary, inspiring and creative thinkers. It is designed to stimulate dialogues through a TED-like experience. TEDxWHU is an immersive, day-long conference with numerous speakers. The conference offers great networking opportunities in-between speeches as well as a Meet & Eat during which participants can interact directly with the speakers.

Our  first  TEDxWHU  event  with  the  topic  “New  Horizons  and  Pioneers”  took  place in September 2015 bringing together a diverse audience and six speeches of thought leaders in their fields  such  as  the CEO of Mazor Robotics Ori Hadomi, British  Philosopher  David  Pearce  and  former  “Germany’s  Next  Topmodel” winner Sara  Nuru.

More About TED

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a global set of conferences run by the nonprofit Sapling  Foundation,  under  the  slogan  “Ideas  Worth  Spreading”.  Every  presentation  is recorded  and  later  uploaded  to  the  TED  website in  order  to  make  them accessible to the whole world. The videos often reach millions of viewers. Past speakers include Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Stephen Hawking, and Richard Dawkins.

More About TEDx Events

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWHU, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED conference provides general guidance for TEDx events, but the event is organized by the TEDxWHU initiative solely.
