"I came to WHU to meet new people and to learn about student and professional life in Germany. During the semester, I made lasting friendships with my roommates, other Tauschies, and WHU students alike. I was even able to take advantage of WHU's recruiting events and Alumni network to learn more about how I can create an international career. Although this semester looked different than others due to Covid, I enjoyed my time in Vallendar and am looking forward to future experiences in Germany."

"I had a great semester at WHU, even during the pandemic, with different restrictions, I had a lot of fun. Students here are the best! The studying part was very well organized and professors are really interested in their subjects. So I would definitely recommend the university to students from my home university."

"Even though WHU in Vallendar is a small university in a small city, it should definitely not be underestimated. WHU is a very special school with a very special spirit. If you choose to come to WHU, you will experience the greatness of the WHU community. The German students at the school are very welcoming to exchange students and the school takes great pride in having students from all over the globe. Even though I was on exchange during Covid-19, the school really made an effort and was always available for helping out. If you have any questions or issues, the WHU staff will be happy to help you at any time. WHU makes it their virtue to make everyone feel happy and safe. If you choose to go to WHU you definitely will not regret it."

"I was happily surprised to see how WHU was organized for this semester, especially currently with the pandemic. My arrival to Vallendar and my introduction to WHU life was very natural thanks to the support of the International Relations Office (IRO) and students’ willingness to welcome internationals. The high quality of courses reached my expectations as I was looking to learn while having fun: professors are passionate about their field of study and are truly inspired to organized original format of lectures. WHU spirit is something unique I learned through being a “tauschie”, and I would not hesitate to experience this once again with my other tauschies friends!"

"My time at WHU has been the most rewarding experience of my life! With the amazing course options you are sure to find courses you love. The orientation was great and allowed me to meet some of my closest friends that I traveled with nearly every weekend! Overall, studying at WHU was the greatest choice I have ever made!"

"When the opportunity was first presented to me for a study abroad semester, my first words were “oh God, another semester studying right after I complete my masters at Lancaster University, do I even have the energy?” After a period of much self-deliberation and conversations with my family, I applied to WHU and got the offer. It would have been a life-long regret if I had not taken such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Being someone who loves to study abroad and learn new cultures, I knew this voyage will only be beneficial to me in numerous ways. I chose to study at WHU because I am aware of its importance in the business ecosystem, and to also satisfy my intrigue for German culture. Individually, my experience at WHU for the past few months has been nothing short of amazing. My professional network has only become better and I have made some of the best life-long friends, with whom I got the privilege to enjoy life in Germany. Most importantly, I have grown immensely both personally and professionally. It can only get better from here! Auf Wiedersehen WHU, I will be back someday! :)"

"Studying abroad at WHU was one of the best decisions that I have made in my academic career so far. I had first heard about the University from exchange students at UNC from WHU, which made me originally want to come here. While I came to WHU during COVID times, I have left with some of the best friends a girl can ask for and amazing memories to last a lifetime. Anytime I needed anything, there were a plethora of people that I could turn to, and I truly could not have asked for a better experience!"

"WHU has been a transformative experience and exceeded all expectations. I was met with so much kindness and opportunity from other tauschies and German students. The study abroad office answered all my questions and made me feel at home here in Vallendar. I have gotten to grow and experience different cities while learning the language and I will get to go home with new knowledge of German culture and so many new friendships."
"I spent 4 amazing months at WHU! The region of Vallendar is gorgeous with a lot of things to do, including visiting medieval castles. It is also very close to the airport, which is very convenient to travel if you want to. Thanks to the orientation week, I had no issues living in Germany, learning which classes I have to take and meeting many friends! I recommend this school and this experience!"

"I had the time of my life during my study abroad semester at WHU. Living around international and local students alike was such a fun experience that I will never forget. I was able to significantly improve my German language skills, so I would definitely recommend any Tauschie to enroll in one of the many levels offered. I also took several courses in my field of study, and I was very interested on the different perspectives the professors here at WHU presented. Vallendar is such a cute little town with a great location for traveling purposes in and around Germany, for which I am grateful to have had the opportunity to explore and learn more about the country and culture."

"Initially, due to the unstable situation with the coronavirus, I had problems getting a study visa, so I was not able to arrive in Vallendar in time for the start of the semester. However, thanks to WHU, a student from across the globe was able to attend selected courses online. When I arrived in the small, picturesque town - Vallendar, I realized that I had made the right choice for this university. Although many of the courses were in a hybrid format I was able to meet my friends from WHU and make new friends. If you're going to participate in an exchange semester at WHU and your main goal is to get a high quality education, this place was created for you! Professional lecturers, renovated campus, a fantastic library and open study spaces are made for you to achieve new goals in education!
Studying at WHU has been a great experience for me and I'm now strongly considering applying for a master's degree here.
And if you like clothes as much as I, there is a collection of sportswear from WHU Adidas and Euromaster :)"

"I have enjoyed my experience at WHU very much. The courses I have been able to sign up for were amazing and I have learned many new things. The fact that the residences are close to the university plus that all the students live in the village make it easier to feel integrated and to quickly join the student community. In addition, the different events prepared for the exchange students make it helpful for us to meet other exchange students as well as university students."

"I spent 6 months at WHU doing amazing courses and interacting with the diverse range of students. What attracted me to WHU was that it is a leading business school in Germany and one of the best business schools in Europe, as well as its focus on entrepreneurship. I was also attracted by the hybrid structure of the exchange programme, which included both full-time and part-time courses, as well as the option to attend the classes virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This afforded me the opportunity to continue with my fulltime job, while attending the part-time classes on weekends, and it gave me the flexibility of choosing between fulltime and part-time classes, and choosing between virtual and physical classes. Even though I attended the classes virtually, WHU made an effort to give students a great experience through highly engaging and interactive classes, arranging workshops and social events and creating the platform to network with other students. The flexibility of the programme was accommodating and made it easy to part-take in the programme and enjoy the classes."

"I was initially attracted to the flexible exchange options that WHU offered during covid. This, coupled with the topical business courses and high calibre reputation it offered, had me sold. For example, I learnt so much while studying Investment Banking and thoroughly enjoyed the Financial Technologies course. WHU also provided well-structured support along the entire journey. This included ensuring that all relevant planning was completed before arrival, providing exposure to internship opportunities while there, and even opportunities to learn German. With like-minded students from all over the word, in a beautiful and vibrant city, it was easy to make friends and gain rich intercultural experiences. Sunny Sundays were often reserved for hikes, picnics in the park, or strolls through Altstadt. I would definitely recommend this exchange program to others."

"WHU is an incredible community in the heart of Düsseldorf. The staff and student body are exceptionally helpful and welcoming. I felt perfectly at home in WHU and had no difficulty with the classes or everyday life in Germany. Furthermore, the central location helped me travel most of Western and Central Europe during my exchange semester. Coming to WHU is a great way to learn more about business in Europe, experience the diverse cultures that make up the continent, and become part of a wonderful community."
