Überblick

Jane Lê ist Professorin für strategisches Management. In ihrer Forschung untersucht sie, welche Strategien Organisationen in komplexen Situationen verfolgen, insbesondere wie sie dabei unterschiedlichste, auch widersprüchliche Zielsetzungen in Einklang bringen. Jane Lê ist Mitglied des Herausgeberbeirats der Zeitschriften Organization Studies, Strategic Organization und Organizational Research Methods (Mitherausgeberin 2020-2024).

Forschungsinteressen

Internationales Ansehen genießt Professor Jane Lê für ihre Arbeit zu strategischer Komplexität und zum Umgang von Organisationen mit vielfältigen, konkurrierenden Zielen. Zurzeit beschäftigt sie sich schwerpunktmäßig mit den folgenden drei Forschungsrichtungen:     

  • Strategie in der Praxis
    Jane Lê untersucht, wie Menschen in und um Organisationen Strategien tatsächlich umsetzen. Ihre Arbeit wird durch Mittel des ESRC und der British Academy gefördert und wurde bereits in führenden Zeitschriften wie Academy of Management Journal und Organization Science veröffentlicht.
  • Paradox in Organisationen
    Ziel dieser Forschungsrichtung ist ein besseres Verständnis, wie es Menschen gelingt, sowohl innerhalb ihrer Organisation als auch organisationsübergreifend unterschiedlichste und konkurrierende Ziele zu verfolgen. Diese Arbeit wird durch den ARC Discovery Grant (2016-2019) gefördert, wurde in wichtigen Leitfäden und Zeitschriften wie Organization Studies und Strategic Organization publiziert, erhielt 2018 den SO! WHAT Best Paper Award und wurde 2017 von der Redaktion der Zeitschrift Organization Studies empfohlen.
  • Methodik der Organisationsforschung
    Jane Lê begeistert sich besonders für qualitative Forschung und die entsprechenden Forschungsmethoden. Sie hat Schriften zu verschiedenen Gesichtspunkten des Forschungsprozesses verfasst, unter anderem zu Datenbeschaffung und -analyse, zu den Besonderheiten der Prozessforschung, zur Untersuchung von Paradox sowie zu CAQDAS. Ihre jüngste Forschungsarbeit stellt die Anwendung von Forschungsmethoden in den Fokus, so zum Beispiel welche Forschungsdesigns verwendet und wie Methoden erneuert werden. Jane Lê ist Mitglied des Editorial Boards der Zeitschrift Organizational Research Methods und wird 2020 deren Mitherausgeberin.
