Ihre Aufgaben

  • The position at the Vallendar campus is equipped with 50% or 67%.
  • Your dissertation will focus on core topics in the areas of strategic negotiations and behavioral management. The questions you will work on will be embedded in cross-organizational interactions – typically in the supply chain.
  • You have the opportunity to work with renowned corporate partners (ranging from DAX companies to exciting startup companies) and leading researchers at partner institutions in the U.S. and Asia.
  • The average duration of completing a doctorate with us is about 3 years. Our alumni have continued to pursue truly impressive careers in industry, consulting, and academia. 
  • You will develop several papers, some of which are to be published in internationally renowned academic journals. This approach allows you to build a valuable publication record during your doctoral studies already. We have a history of successful publications from our doctoral students, and the Supply Chain Group at WHU is amongst the 10 research-strongest faculties in the field worldwide (http://www.scmlist.com/home/university-rankings/empirical-report/).
  • You are also engaged in teaching and practical projects which will be closely related to your field of research.

Ihr Profil

  • You are an enthusiastic team player, who shares our passion for both academic insight and real-life managerial impact. You should hold a very good Master’s degree in Business, Psychology, Engineering or related fields.  A study background in supply chain management is not required.
  • You have successfully completed your studies or will do so soon.
  • Very good English language skills are crucial, whilst German language skills are not a requirement.
  • Work experience and/or internships (including but not limited to consulting, strategy, supply management, and start-ups) are appreciated though not required.
