The course Spanish I, A1 is aimed at students with little basic knowledge of the Spanish language. The aim of the semester is to expand and consolidate the students' basic grammatical knowledge and means of communication. The content of the semester is composed of the following blocks:

a) Grammar:

  • Verbs with indirect object pronouns (gustar and similar)
  • Imperative affirmative (regular and irregular forms)
  • Use of "ser", "estar" and "hay".
  • Gerund
  • Pretérito indefinido (regular and irregular forms)

b) Oral expression:

  • Communication in simple everyday situations.
  • Presentation about themselves or about an important figure in the Spanish-speaking world (7 minutes).
