Der WHU Entrepreneurship Roundtable Podcast ist live!
Am 22. Januar 2025 haben wir das 10-jährige Bestehen des WHU ER gefeiert.
Heute starten wir den WHU ER Podcast, moderiert von Sergio G. Chavez, Mitbegründer des WHU ER.
Staffel 1 wird aus 10 Episoden bestehen, die alle zwei Wochen veröffentlicht werden. In jeder Folge stellen wir einen MBA-Absolventen der WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management vor, der ein schnell wachsendes Tech-Startup gegründet hat und einen positiven Einfluss in Deutschland und im Ausland hat.
Unser erster Gast ist Thomas Roth, Mitgründer und CEO von Inzipio, einem digitalen Gesundheits-Startup mit Sitz in Aachen, Deutschland.
#10 Tech Startups - Mapular - Peter Rose, Founder & CEO
Mapular helps modern consumer brands make smarter, data-driven decisions about marketing, growth, and expansion. Through its SaaS platform, Mapular provides location-based insights to D2C and retail brands, enabling them to optimize their marketing spend, track omnichannel customer journeys, and identify high-potential growth areas. By aggregating and analyzing online and offline data through a proprietary “digital twin” of the brand, Mapular empowers businesses to double their return on ad spend and better understand customer behavior across geographies.
During this conversation between Peter and Sergio G Chavez, Peter shares his journey from New Zealand to Germany and how his background in engineering, geospatial analytics, and construction led him to build two startups, first Orbica Europe and now Mapular. He also reflects on the impact of his WHU MBA experience, the value of the Berlin startup ecosystem, and key lessons for aspiring founders with technical backgrounds.
#09 Tech Startups - Bloon - Vuyiswa M'Cwabeni, CEO
Bloon is building an AI-powered, no-code development platform designed to help enterprises rapidly build and deploy mission-critical applications, starting with SAP environments, without sacrificing governance, security, or compliance. Founded as a spinout from Tangro, now XSuite, Bloon aims to solve the scalability and complexity challenges that legacy IT systems and lightweight no-code tools often fail to address.
During this conversation between Vuyiswa and Sergio G Chavez, Vuyiswa shares her journey from Africa to Canada and eventually to Germany, including tech leadership and entrepreneurial drive. She reflects on her time at WHU as a transformative soft landing into Germany, which helped catalyze her path from corporate executive to startup founder. She also shares powerful lessons on resilience, leadership, and building what truly matters.

During this conversation between Ani and Sergio G Chavez, Ani shares his journey across computer science, machine learning, AI, and now biotech. He also discusses the major transformation he went through during his MBA studies at WHU which led him to the foundation of Orbion.

During this conversation between Claire and Sergio G Chavez, Claire shares her journey across multiple countries and across multiple industries, including engineering, investment banking, venture capital, and startups. Their services streamline the collection, sorting, and recycling of scrap materials for craftsmen and large-scale installers. By integrating advanced digital tools, Scrapbees ensures transparency and traceability in the recycling process, setting new industry standards and significantly reducing environmental impact.
During this conversation between Florian, Thilo, and Sergio G Chavez, Florian and Thilo share how ScrapBees is addressing the growing scarcity of skilled labor and the inefficiencies in waste recycling, as well as their commitment to sustainability. They also share how they met at WHU during their MBA, went through different career paths after graduation, and later reunited to start ScrapBees.

During this conversation between Caesar and Sergio G Chavez, Caesar shares his founder journey and the multiple businesses he has created, including an orange juice stand at an early age, protein shakes during his Bachelor, and CUREosity during his MBA, all while also developing a career in corporate finance. Caesar also shares how CUREosity has evolved from a startup to a cashflow positive scaleup growing internationally, with the US market being next in line.
