Transportation Management - (M)
The objective of this course is to give a comprehensive introduction into the challenges and best-practices of the management of global industry players like passenger airlines or logistics companies.
Such a management best practice includes a deeper understanding of the appropriate de-/regulation policies, underlying industry dynamics, and the outline of superior strategies as well as commercial and operational management practices of selected industry segments.
The course will also highlight some specific future trends and new management approaches illustrating a way to a long-term sustainable industry.
This course is an elective for all Master students (MiM, MiF, MiE) as it is considered highly relevant for all students with a diverse set of backgrounds.
Learning Goals:
- Students will apply expert knowledge on different dimensions of business management.
- Students will make business decisions based on their expert knowledge.
- Students will master the collection and analysis of diverse sets of information relevant for their managerial endeavors.
- Students will evaluate scientific publications and apply the major concepts.
