Vallendar has a diverse and international student population of approximately 1300 registered students. All accommodation is available within walking distance to the main campus, whether in halls of residence, private apartments, or houses. Students are able to access campus buildings and study rooms 24/7, which are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The town itself boasts excellent transport connections by either road or rail, and visitors are able to access the larger cities and airports of Cologne and Frankfurt within an hour.

WHU has one of the best-equipped databases of all the private German business schools, while the Knowledge and Research Service itself has been consistently voted one of the best academic libraries by the Trendence Graduate Barometer. The Knowledge and Research Service is available 24/7 and has more than 30,000 books in print and over 35,000 e-books accessible online. The Knowledge and Research Service also works closely with the professors to ensure that course materials are usually available online.
Eating on campus
It is important to fuel up between lectures, and Campus Vallendar offers two sites where you can buy hot food and relax. The Mensa serves hot and cold dishes with a varied menu throughout the week. The Bistro next door to the new and modern ‘Zalando Lounge’, serves smaller bites to eat as well as fresh coffee and teas. Donated to WHU by alumni, the Zalando Lounge is a poplular meeting spot for students who wish to simply take a break or perhaps discuss a current project.
Health and counselling
WHU values taking care of your mental wellbeing while you study Student Counselling at WHU aims to support students with personal or academic challenges they may be facing during their studies. Whether facing problems with adapting to a new culture, managing the workload or finding new friends, this is an entirely confidential service with counsellors available on campus throughout the week.

As a leading business school, WHU has attracted numerous companies to campus for recruitment purposes, and our dedicated Career Center manages around 160 company connections. Our career services go beyond recruitment, however, with company presentations and workshops, three recruiting fairs every year, an internal job database, and one-to-one help with CVs or interviews.
Language learning
An international business school means international languages! WHU is home to a number of different languages spoken on campus, but students are able to learn out of eight languages taught on-campus. Taught by native speakers, these include English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese and Japanese.
Mobility & e-car
In the spirit of innovation, WHU is leading a project in partnership with car rental company KM, by placing an e-car in the heart of Vallendar for the whole community to enjoy. Users are able to enjoy a flexible and environmentally friendly mode of transport charged by 100% green electricity. Booked easily via an app, the car is available for local journeys and is cost-effective as users only pay for the time used.
Furthermore, at the beginning of their studies, our Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Exchange students are equipped with semester tickets for public transportation (VRM-Ticket), which can be used for both road and rail transport in the Rhein-Mosel district (VRM).
