Living in the Vallendar area –

The Campus Krautkrämer (Löhrstraße 41 a) is located near the pedestrian zone in Vallendar, around five minutes’ walk from WHU.

Ten of the 29 apartments on the Campus Krautkrämer are reserved for exchange students. In addition to the standard fixtures and fittings, bed linen, crockery and kitchen utensils etc. are also provided. Internet is provided via WiFi.

All apartments are "non-smoking apartments". The prices vary from 1.500 € to 1.600 € per semester depending on the size of the apartment.

The house at Gilgenborn 31a is newly built and ready for occupancy from the fall semester 2022. It consists of 9 fully furnished shared apartments with a total of 27 rooms; 2-person, 3-person and 4-person shared apartments with balconies. All shared flats/rooms are fully furnished and fully equipped with dishes, bed linen, towels, etc.

The flats are between 72m² and 106 m², the individual rooms between 13m² and 16 m². The rent is 2,530€ per term, including all utilities and WiFi.

Washing machines and dryers are available in a laundry room and can be booked and paid via an app.

WHU is a 10-minute walk away and a bicycle parking space is available.

We rent twelve small single apartments in Heerstraße 51 for exchange students directly in the pedestrian zone of Vallendar only one minute walking distance to WHU. They are fully furnishd and equipped with dishes, bedlothes, etc. Some of these apartments can be used by couples.

A seperate laundry room is provided with washing machine and dryer (to be used with Euro coins) and iron and iron board. The rooms from 16,5m² to 40m² the rooms cost between 1.790€ and 2.750€ per semester including all additional costs and WiFi.

The block of flats offered in the Höhrer Straße 34 is a modern building with student apartments in various sizes. It is located within less than 5 minutes walking distance to WHU and the center of Vallendar.

Up to 80 students can stay there, living in several single and two-bedroom-apartments as well as shared flats for 4 or 5 people. All units are fully furnished with a completely equipped kitchenette and a separate bathroom. In addition, the apartment area provides a laundry room with several washers and dryers.

Up to 40 exchange students can stay there, the other apartments are offered to WHU students (Bachelor, Master, MBA etc.) which is a great opportunity to live with other students and to have privacy at the same time.

The apartment building "Höhrer Straße" is a non-smoking area!

The rent per term per student is 2.470 € for single-apartments, 2.340 € for a room in a shared for 2 apartment, 2.180€ for a room in a shared for 5 apartment (2 bathrooms and rooftop terrace) and 2.040€ in a shared for 4 apartment. The prices include all extra costs and internet (WiFi).

The “Humboldthöhe” (Goethestraße 11 a)  is a big apartment house in Vallendar, about 5-10 minutes walking distance, only a small part of the distance is uphill. Due to this the apartments provide a fantastic view over the Rhine Valley and Vallendar.

This house is s a “retirement residence” but meanwhile WHU has rent more than 20 apartments there for all kind of students (MBA, BSc, MSc, exchange students. Please note that due to the shared use (old and young) this apartment house definitely is no “Party Zone”, but the kind of apartment and the size and equipment should satisfy anyway. Humboldthöhe additionally is a non-smoker  house.

Apartments in the Humboldthöhe

Within Humboldthöhe we can offer you apartments with different sizes from a 1-room apartment with 29m² to 3-room apartment with 53m². All come with a separate, own bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette (German standard). They are totally renovated in late 2010, modern furnished and fully equipped. Additionally nearly all apartments come with a wonderful big balcony, so that you can enjoy the view also in the fresh air.

The price per term including all additional costs and including internet (WiFi) for these apartments and ranges from 2.030 to 2.150€ per person, depending on the size of the apartment. In this price internet is included and a change of new bedclothes once a month!

WHU has rent these rebuilt houses for their students. Both houses are ideally situated in the center of Vallendar and within a walking distance of only 3-5 minutes to and from WHU.

Alltogether there are 5 resp. 4 single apartments (one of them is a shared apartment for 2 persons). The size varies from 24m² - 55m² but all have a separate bathroom and an kitchenette or living-in kitchen. All apartments are fully furnished and completely equipped (German Standard) and the internet (WiFi) as well as all additional costs are included in the rent per semester. It varies between 2.430€ and 2.690€ depending on the size of the apartment.   

Additionally Krummgasse has a laundry room with washing machine and dryer (to be used with Euro coins) which can be used by the renters of Eulerstraße as well. Both houses are non-smoking areas!

The house "SmartFlats Goethestraße"  at Goethestraße 8 is a house mainly for WHU exchange students. It is only a 5-10 minutes walking distance to WHU and only around 100 m uphill. Most of the apartments will be rent by exchange students. 
Alltogether there are provided 48 single units with separate bathroom and kitchenette. The apartments are fully furnished and completely equipped so that you only have to bring with you your private belongings. The rent per semester is 2.370 € (only a very limited number) - 2.530 € including all additional costs and internet via WiFi.

This house  provides a laundry room with washing machines and dryers (all to be used with Euro coins). Drivers have the possibility to rent a parking slot for their car - even some covered car parking! This house is a non-smoking area!

Motion House offers numerous apartments and flats in different houses. Our offer is primarily aimed at students of the nearby WHU. In addition to furnished apartments, larger unfurnished apartments are also available for rent.

All houses have been completely renovated with great attention to detail. Particular attention was paid to preserving the historic facades in combination with modern architecture. Prices range from 350€ to 1.095€ per month depending on the size of the apartment.
