Course content
The purpose of this course is to develop/strengthen the student’s ability to use economic concepts and theories to analyze health care issues and to inform decision making and policy development. In the first section of the course we take an intensive look at different stakeholders in the health care system such as providers, insurance companies and the pharmaceutical sector. The second part of the course will then discuss real-life problems of health business and economics using case studies and guest lectures.
