Qualitative Research Methods
Research methods must fit the research questions. As both get more and more sophisticated, successful research designs increasingly employ clever combinations of multiple methods/approaches within one research paper. Therefore, this course serves to provide participants with knowledge on a broad range of qualitative approaches in the field of business research, such as case studies & grounded theory, process studies & ethnography, or big data methods & machine learning. It further covers ways to bridge the divide between qualitative and quantitative research, such as mixed method designs and qualitative comparative analysis (QCA).
The course is interactively designed in order to discuss benefits and challenges of conducting and publishing qualitative research.
