Course content
How do you manage social impact? This seminar examines methods of analyzing the performance of non-profit organizations (e.g. NGOs, social entrepreneurs, hospitals, student organizations), the use of ‘business-like’ management systems, and the evaluation of impact, performance and efficiency of such organizations. It focuses in particular on how to measure and manage for an organization's "social impact". Central to the seminar is developing a critical understanding of the complexities of using traditional management techniques and instruments in the non-profit context through research based case studies and discussions with experts from the NGO-context.
