Assistant Professor of Management Accounting & Control (f/m/d)

Previous degree: Ph.D. or an equivalent academic qualification
WHU has around 60 faculty members in the fields of management, accounting and finance, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, marketing and sales, and supply chain management. Research at WHU adheres to three research principles: quality, internationality, as well as practical and academic relevance. WHU faculty consistently publish their research in the most prestigious journals.
The position at hand will be part of the Institute of Management Accounting and Control. Under the joint directorship of Professor Lukas Löhlein, Professor Marko Reimer and Professor Utz Schäffer, the institute bundles the numerous teaching and research activities of the associated professors and doctoral students.
Job Description
- Conducting research in the field of empirical, quantitative management accounting based on survey data, archival data, or field experiments
- Collaborating closely with other researchers at the institute
- Conducting teaching across the various WHU degree programs in English
- Mentoring final theses (Bachelor, Master) and doctoral students
Job Qualifications
- A completed or nearly-completed PhD in accounting, management, or closely related disciplines with a strong quantitative research focus
- Trajectory of research with potential for leading publications in accounting
- Desirably previous teaching experience, especially in English
- Good verbal and written communication skills
