External Lecturers

Are you interested in working as an external lecturer at WHU but have not found a matching open position in our offers? You can send an unsolicited application to Steffen Löv if you want to be contacted when WHU is looking for lecturers in your field of expertise. Please include a CV, an overview of courses taught and their evaluations, and a tentative syllabus or course description for potential courses you could teach.

We are looking for instructors for our undergraduate English program in the coming fall term starting in September 2023. The courses in question are part of the 1st and 3rd-semester programs. One course involves a general overview of business concepts and business English vocabulary revolving around a variety of corporate fields, including organisational structure, HR, financial statements and marketing. The other includes elements of cultural awareness, academic writing and presentation skills.

Job description

Applicants must:

  • have a native level of spoken and written English (native English speakers are welcome)
  • have experience of teaching business English
  • have experience of working at university/business school level
  • have experience of teaching advanced-level, highly demanding students
  • be prepared to work in parallel with other members of a team

Payment is €45.00 / teaching unit (45 minutes) plus travel expenses. One course would encompass 12 weeks à 6 teaching units with teaching taking place on campus in Vallendar (or online depending on government regulations concerning contact restrictions).
