In mid-January the new start-up event “The 100 first days of your start-up” was held for the first time at WHU Campus Düsseldorf. The event was hosted by the Entrepreneurship Roundtable, an initiative by Full-Time MBA students from WHU.
After getting some information on WHU start-ups in short company presentations, students have the opportunity to talk with the representatives on a small and informal career fair. Also career speed dating sessions offer students the chance to capture the pole position in the run for an internship or job entry.
The annual event brings together experienced founders, venture capitalists, investors as well as ambitious students for networking and the interactive exchange of ideas and experiences. Especially topics such as internet innovation, e-commerce and mobile applications are the core elements the IdeaLab! focuses on.
It is created by students for students to interact with social entrepreneurs, learn about sustainability in business and get actively involved with the entire field. Our goal is to raise the awareness of our participants for current societal and ecological problems and show students ways to connect their professional career with social responsibility.
It is its mission is to foster the entrepreneurial culture and network at WHU while helping its members acquire the knowledge and capabilities necessary to become better entrepreneurs. Therefore, SmartUp! hosts regular on-campus workshops with experienced entrepreneurs, especially WHU founders, and organizes yearly tours to a selected set of startups from various industries.
