Since the beginning of 2019, the WHU Finance Lab has opened its doors to students and visitors. With 12 Eikon terminals from Refinitiv (formerly Thomson Reuters), 12 Tradesignal platforms and 500 ByteWorx licenses, the Finance Lab offers ideal conditions for financial education and a link between theory and practice.
Students have access to extensive market and securities databases as well as the opportunity to choose between several state-of-the-art real-time trading simulation systems and powerful charting tools to evaluate, analyze, and visualize their own portfolio performance.
The WHU Finance Lab already is a major element WHU's curriculum. For instance, the course "Trading and Real-Time Data Interpretation" (Sebastian Seidens), which offers students an introduction to technical analysis, is being held in full in the WHU Finance Lab. Furthermore, guided tours, educational seminars, and stock market games are held at the WHU Finance Lab at regular intervals. In the future, it is planned to expand the spectrum of lectures held in the Finance Lab beyond classical Finance / Capital Markets.
If you are interested in an introduction to the many possible uses of the WHU Finance Lab, students and visitors are welcome to contact us at cawm@whu or one of our contact persons directly.
