On June 22th, the annual advisory board meeting of the Center of Market-Oriented Corporate Management (CMM) took place for the first time at the WHU-Campus Düsseldorf. The center acts as an exchange platform for science and practice focusing on market-oriented questions.
In the beginning of the meeting, Professor Fassnacht reported about the recent development at WHU, news about the CMM and the Otto Beisheim endowed chair of Marketing and Commerce. He talked about the growth of WHU and the increasing attractiveness of the teaching at the chair. Several guest lectures and real-life studies with companies have enriched the teaching activities.
After a the presentation of the research topic "Product newness: determinants and outcomes from the consumer's perspective at the point-of-sales"by the doctoral cadidate Modan Huang and a speech of Dr. Rembert Horstmann about "IMPERIAL Logistics International - A Brand Takes Off" the very productive day closed with a dinner at the restaurant Dr. Thompson´s.
