Leonhard Friedel studied European Economic Studies at the Otto-Friedrich-University in Bamberg and Ca'Foscari in Venice, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He then studied International Economics in Passau with a scholarship from the Hans Seidel Foundation, which he completed with a Master of Arts degree. As a student, he also spent years abroad (Romania, Italy, Lebanon and Belgium). He worked in a tax consultancy to develop employee retention tools using approaches from behavioral economics. Since May 2021, he now supports the Chair of Economic and Social Policy as a research assistant and Ph.D. student.

Research Interest: Population Economics, Environmental Economics, Behavioral Economics
