Since October 2019, David Sauer has been an external doctoral candidate at the Institute for Family Businesses at WHU. In his dissertation, he focuses on analysing decision-making processes within family firms with particular emphasis on those concerning digital transformations. David works as a management consultant in the area of (digital) transformation and innovation with clients from the energy, consumer goods, automotive and telecommunication industries. Prior to this, he worked as a project manager, responsible for process and organizational transformations within a medium sized company in the retail industry.
David successfully completed his Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management in Fulda, Germany, part of which he spent as a visiting student at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, USA. He subsequently gained a Master of Letters in International Business (awarded with distinction) in 2017 and a Master of Science in Psychology (awarded with distinction) in 2018 from the University of St Andrews, United Kingdom.
