Dr. Jonas Soluk is an Affiliated Researcher at the Institute of Family Business & Mittelstand at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. His research focuses on digital transformation, digital innovation and artificial intelligence in family businesses. His family background from an almost 200-year-old small family business led him to this interest. After academic positions in Oestrich-Winkel, St. Gallen, Austin, Chicago, Shanghai, Mumbai and Tokyo, he received his doctorate from WHU with highest honors. During his doctoral studies, Dr. Jonas Soluk spent some time as a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley (Haas School of Business). His research has been published in world-leading journals and his work has been recognized with more than 25 international awards. He has been a visiting scholar and lecturer at Stanford University (Stanford Engineering, designX lab) on future technologies and is affiliated with the Stockholm School of Economics (House of Innovation) and the University of Bern (Department of Business Administration).
After seven years in industry, Dr. Jonas Soluk has been working for leading management consultancies in the areas of digital transformation, innovation and strategic growth since the beginning of 2017. In recent years, he has also advised clients such as the German Federal Government and the United Nations. He brings many years of experience from several advisory and supervisory board mandates to his professional activities. His work has been discussed in media such as Handelsblatt, Wirtschaftswoche, Die Welt and Manager Magazin.
