Martin Tao-Schuchardt joined the Chair of Family Business at WHU as an external PhD candidate in November 2019. In his research he investigates private equity investments in family businesses.
Martin graduated with a Master of International Business from Fudan University and a Master in Management from London Business School. He got excited about family businesses when he wrote his bachelor thesis about cultural transformations in family businesses at the University of St. Gallen.
After finishing his studies, Martin started working as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He served private equity and other clients in various industries – among others in automotive, logistics, chemicals, and pharmaceutics.
