Chair of Business Information Science and Information Management

Welcome to the Chair of Business Information Science and Information Management. The Chair conducts teaching in the area of Management Information Systems. Our research is focused on information management for digital transformation.

Our research focuses on the reciprocal relationship between information systems (IS) and organizations and the intended and unintended impacts that these relationships generate. An overarching theme is the intersection of communication structures enabled by IS and the management of organizational change.

Research activities are oriented towards practice impact and involve design, use and management of information systems for networked enterprises, knowledge management and business analytics for cooperative innovation, and approaches of managerial cybernetics to complexity management.

The chair is supported by the Irmgard and Erich Schneider Foundation.
