Business Meets Tech: BIS chair supports new WHU student initiative

Over the course of the past year, a group of WHU students has been engaged in raising the awareness for the importance of novel technologies for business success among the WHU student body. The initiative now gained the official status of a student initiative at WHU as Business Meets Tech (BMT) - The WHU Tech Initiative! BIS chair is proud to support the initiative as academic advisor. We congratulate the team and wish to all involved a successful start and many interesting activities!

From the BMT team announcement: "Tackling the challenges of new and disruptive developments in the technology sector, we have a clear mission in order to increase the qualification and diversity of our student education:

1. Transferring knowledge through Tech-Workshops and the BMT Coding Club: We will partner with top-tier engineering universities to offer you hands-on workshops about software development and current trends (AI, Blockchain, IoT, etc.) on a regular basis.

2. Offering industry-insights through Tech-Tours: We will arrange dedicated tours to high-tech companies and technology hubs throughout Germany to gain live industry insights.

3. Expanding WHU’s network: We will sustainably enlarge WHU’s network and become the interface to the world of technology and IT, offering contacts and networking opportunities into related industries."
