Jens Frische (born in 1995) joined the Mercator Endowed Chair of Demand Management & Sustainable Transport at WHU as a doctoral student and research assistant in October 2021. Jens Frische studied Transportation Science as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California in Irvine.

During his studies, he focused on urban transportation systems and quantitative methods to model travel demand and mobility behaviour. In his master's thesis, Jens Frische applied spatial regression models to analyse ride-hailing and taxi demand.

After graduation, he joined McKinsey & Company as a consultant in Cologne, where he worked on several operations and future mobility projects across Europe and the Middle East.

The research interests of Jens Frische are mathematical modelling and optimisation of transportation networks.
