Logistics Panel
The WHU Logistics Panel was initiated by the Chair of Logistics and Services Management and provides a platform for active exchange with transport and logistics companies in Germany. The focus is on the discussion of current topics and trends, the implementation of industry-specific benchmarking and the dissemination of new research results into corporate practice. In semi-annual benchmark studies on relevant key figures and current topics as well as at an annual logistics symposium, we want to identify and discuss trends and developments in the environment of logistics service providers, thus linking practice and research.
Five overriding goals are at the center of the Logistics Panel:
- Discussion of the latest developments in logistics and exchange for successful navigation through new challenges
- Surveys to collect benchmark data and derivation of best practice recommendations for logistics companies in Germany
- Identification of trends through surveys on strategically important issues and derivation of opportunities and risks from market developments
- Active exchange between science and practice and dissemination of new research results into business practice
- Establishment of long-term partnerships between practice and science and generation of new findings on a broad data basis
No commercial interests are pursued with the logistics panel. All data will be treated confidentially in accordance with the regulations of the Federal Data Protection Act.
Participation
The WHU Logistics Panel is aimed at companies that are part of the logistics value chain and fulfill the following requirements:
- Transportation and logistics service providers with headquarters in Germany
- Minimum size of ten employees and one million euros turnover
- Managing director or business unit manager as contact person for studies
Furthermore, participants should have an interest in active exchange with other transport and logistics companies. Participation in the WHU Logistics Panel is free of charge, the annual symposium is offered at cost price.
