About ZIRP

The ZIRP is a network, initiator and location initiative. Strategies and options for economic, technical and social developments, which will shape Rhineland-Palatinate, are developed in 6 key areas in dialogue with different actors.

Sustainability - both economically, socially and ecologically - is a location advantage for Rhineland-Palatinate. Sustainable entrepreneurship will increasingly determine the success and acceptance of a company on the market and among employees and customers. The topic of sustainability is therefore fundamental to ZIRP's project work.

In 2014, ZIRP launched a network for sustainable entrepreneurship in Rhineland-Palatinate. The work of the “Zukunft Unternehmen” network should consist of a continuous dialogue offering on sustainable corporate management and development.

In addition, the ZIRP organizes an annual sustainability congress, at which the award “Zukunftsunternehmen” for socially sustainable entrepreneurship was presented for the first time in 2015.

An independent jury selects the "Zukunftsunternehmen" from the applications of companies from different industries and sizes. Prof. Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier was a member of the jury for the first time in 2015 and in 2017 and 2018 .
