LEGO(c) Serious Play
The Lego Serious Play Method is a facilitated meeting, communication and problem-solving process in which participants are led through a series of questions, probing deeper and deeper into the subject (for more information see http://www.lego.com/nl-nl/seriousplay/the-method). Each participant builds his or her own 3D Lego model in response to the facilitator's questions using specially selected LEGO elements. These 3D models serve as a basis for group discussion, knowledge sharing, problem solving and decision making. In practice, the Lego Serious Play Method is used for a wide variety of activities such as development of strategic scenario’s, brainstorming, and team building. We use the Serious Lego Play method in workshops and training sessions on innovation related topics. In 2018, we were a finalist of the 4th Innovation & Entrepreneurship Teaching Excellence Awards for the use of Serious Lego Play in our innovation teaching activities.
Workshop on Innovation Ecosystems
In this workshop, we use Lego Serious Play to introduce participants to the core concepts and insights related to innovation ecosystems. Subsequently, we engage in several ideation cycles to generate actionable proposals on how participants can leverage and improve their existing ecosystem to realize core innovation objectives. We also pay attention to particular risks that are associated with innovation ecosystems (i.e., co-innovation and adoption chain risk) and inspire participants to apply particular frameworks (i.e. minimal viable footprint) to address these risks.
Workshop on Corporate Innovation
How can organizations continuously improve their existing products and services as well as successfully explore disruptive products and service for the future? In this Lego Serious Play workshop, we first stimulate participants to reflect on the challenges they experience with corporate innovation. Subsequently, we foster participants to reflect on particular organizational strategies and structures that can foster corporate innovation. We discuss both internal and external strategies that can help organizations in improving their ability to simultaneously exploit their existing competencies and explore novel ones.
A business wargame is a role-played simulation where different participants of a focal organization will represent different competitors of the organization. Before the actual wargame, we assist the organization in collecting data on their core competitors and the ecosystems of the competitors. During the one-day wargame, participants use this information to predict strategic ecosystem moves of competitors. Subsequently, these predictions will be used to adjust and optimize the innovation ecosystem strategy of the focal organization.
Classic innovation management needs a boost
Regardless of the firm size, MNEs as well as SMEs face challenging megatrends that require them to reinvent their culture, capabilities and products. However, the speed of change in todays markets is different than 10 or 50 years ago and classical ways of innovation management or R&D no longer the sole solution.
Classic innovation management needs a boost - With innovation challenges!
Innovation Challenges - A fun, engaging and highly effective way to innovate & change
How many ideas do you think do your employees generate every day? And how many of these make it into the innovation pipeline of your project teams or R&D departments? Right, companies face a problem of idea to innovation conversion. A key reason is that employees oftentimes dont dare to propose new topics to their employees, they dont feel their ideas are good enough or they know their department currently has no funding.
In today hypercompetetive environment, every great idea lost to the firm is a potential risk.
Innovation Challenges are a way to reap the biggest innovation potentials a firm can have - Its employees and its ecosystem!

Communicating with (International) Partners
Communicating with internal and external partners about innovation or transformation is always harder as it seems. We can help you set up an internal innovation communication plan for both your ecosystem partners as your employees. We help you set up the necessary channels and plan your message so it is easy to understand and digest. We can help you set up an external innovation communication plan and the necessary communication channels, highlighting the most important topics for your customers in a straight-forward and easy-to-understand way. In both cases, we take differences in language, culture and professional expertise into account - nobody gets left out.
Human beings love stories. They are recognizable, easy to understand and easier to remember. We offer support in writing and communicating your innovation story, from brainstorming the ‘script’ to framing your message in an interesting and useful way.
Public Speaking and Presenting
Technology has changed the way we communicate in many aspects. However, in every presentation, whether it is a scientific presentation or an entrepreneurial pitch, one thing has always stayed the same: there is one human speaker talking to a human audience. To start-ups, we offer pitching coaching for your next funding round(s) to help you stand out from the competition. To established companies, we offer public speaking and presenting workshops for your employees, as well as coaching for single presentations or guest lectures.
