Internationalization and Diversity at WHU

Internationalization

Intercultural and international competencies play an essential role in both private and professional life. WHU promotes these key competences in all areas of the Business School, including academic programs, research, executive education and company contacts. The WHU community on both Campus Vallendar and Campus Düsseldorf includes people with diverse cultural backgrounds and of different nationalities. In recent years WHU has extended its commitment to internationality and has increased its share of international faculty, students and staff. While WHU is based in Germany the Business School sees itself as part of an international community.

Diversity

Diversity is a positive thing! A climate of openness, diversity and equal opportunity is of utmost importance to WHU. For WHU, heterogeneity and diversity are not just buzzwords but indispensable features of a free society. Therefore, WHU promotes and supports people regardless of their social background, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender. At the same time, WHU actively promotes the removal of discriminatory structures in daily life and of existing prejudices. This commitment is reflected in several activities such as the Ladies@WHU Speakers Series, exhibitions and events that are part of the Studium Generale module.
