Frequently Asked Questions

All those who fulfill the admissions criteria of the respective program and successfully passed the admission process may study at WHU. The admissions requirements differ among the programs. However, the following admissions requirements apply for the Bachelor, Master, and MBA Programs:

  • Higher education entrance qualification
  • Good English language skills
  • TOEFL test
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent (for Master and MBA programs)
  • GMAT test (for Master and MBA programs).

WHU offers an on-site TOEFL test at the Vallendar campus. In this case, WHU offers 10 individuals per program the opportunity to take the TOEFL for free.

For the Master and MBA Programs, WHU offers 10 individuals the opportunity to take the GMAT test for free.

WHU is an institution of higher education that charges tuition fees. However, students interested in studying at WHU should not be deterred by this if they lack the financial means, as we offer a number of scholarships and financing opportunities in all programs.

Additionally, we offer two scholarships per program specifically for refugees in the following programs:

  • Bachelor Program
  • Master Program
  • Full-Time MBA Program
  • Part-Time MBA Program

All WHU programs are taught entirely in English. Thus, no German language skills are required to study at WHU. However, in order to increase our students’ chances to find work in Germany after their studies, we offer German classes over the whole duration of the programs.

WHU offers German classes (beginner and advanced level) for the whole length of the programs (Bachelor, Master, and MBA Programs) at no extra cost.

Once you are admitted to one of WHU’s programs, you will be eligible for the German visa application process. Based on this, you can register in the respective city. Subsequently, this registration is required to complete your actual enrollment in the program.
