WHU Students at the CFA Institute Research Challenge Finals

Last week, our WHU students Mugdha Chouksey, Vaishnavi Khare, Danilo Gavronov, Raphael Hoelz and Timm Sonnenberg participated in the national finals of the CFA Institute Research Challenge in Frankfurt and earned an excellent second place.

Only three other German universities had qualified for the German finals and the feedback for the presentation of the five WHU students has been extremely positive! The students conducted a company analysis of Beiersdorf AG and submitted a written report with a buy recommendation. In the finals, they presented their research results to a jury of industry experts and CFA charter holders. The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics. More than 5,000 students from 1,000 universities worldwide participated in this year’s challenge.
