From the 29th May until 1st June the WHU Chair of Digital Marketing participated at the European Marketing Academy Conference (EMAC) 2018.
The EMAC is one of the most prominent and significant academic marketing conferences in Europe. This year, the conference was held in Glasgow, at one of the oldest and largest marketing departments in Europe, the Strathclyde Business School. This year the conference was hosted under the topic “People Make Marketing”.
Members of our chair participated with three research projects during the conference. On the 30th May and 31st May doctoral students presented, “Predicting Tie Strength With Ego Network Structures” (Simon Stolz), and “15 Shades of Fake News” (Sebastian Hein), each co-authored with PhD supervisor Christian Schlereth. Moreover, on the 31st May Christian Schlereth presented “Finding The Right Balance For Marketing Activities Between First-Lifetime And Reacquired Customers”.
We are very thankful for the valuable and encouraging feedback that we have received from international scholars and subject matter experts during the conference.
