Dr. Jiachun Lu Appointed Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor for International Business and Supply Management joins WHU on January 15, 2020.

In addition to her role as Assistant Professor, she will be in charge of establishing and heading the new WHU Shanghai Office. The Shanghai Office has the aim to further increase WHU’s visibility in China, strengthen collaboration between WHU and academic and corporate partners in the country, and establish closer networks with alumni and prospective students in the fast-growing Chinese educational sector.

Dr. Jiachun Lu obtained a Bachelor's degree in German Studies and French Studies at the Shanghai International Studies University in 2009 and a further Bachelor's degree in International Business Studies at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2012, where she acquired her Master's degree in 2015. In 2019, she received her doctorate at WHU with summa cum laude; her work was supervised by Professor Dr. Lutz Kaufmann. Her research focuses on B2B negotiations and cross-functional sourcing teams and has been published in leading journals of the discipline.

Jiachun Lu received numerous awards and scholarships, including the DAAD Prize in 2013 and the Dr. Hans Novotny Prize in 2015.
