The response to the one-hour webinar “Studying Organizational and Inter-Organizational Phenomena,” jointly organized by the research journals Organization Studies and the Journal of Supply Chain Management, has certainly made an impression: 260 researchers from all over the world registered for the intensive session, in which four top-class researchers presented their methodological innovations. The webinar was co-organized by Lutz Kaufmann, Professor of Business Negotiations & Procurement I at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and European editor of the Journal of Supply Chain Management since 2008.

Professor Lutz Kaufmann co-organizes high-profile, interdisciplinary webinar
The goal of the webinar was to engage in more and better interdisciplinary work and connect researchers from the disciplines of organization studies and supply chain management. Emma Bell, Professor of Organisation and Leadership at The Open University (United Kingdom); Paolo Quattrone, Professor of Accounting, Governance & Society at Alliance Manchester Business School (United Kingdom); Victoria Stephens, Research Associate at in the Department of Materials, Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Manchester (United Kingdom); and Andreas Wieland, Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) presented innovative research methods and discussed the applicability of these methods in both disciplines with the participants, whom they then encouraged to broaden their methods repertoire.
