On September 1st, 2020, Dr. Benoît Chevalier-Roignant (Dr. rer. pol., 2011), was appointed as Associate Professor in Quantitative Finance & Economics at EM Lyon Business School, France. Prior to this position, he was employed as Lecturer in Finance by Cranfield School of Management of Cranfield University (2018-2020) and by King’s Business School of King’s College London (2016-2018), both schools are located in the UK.
During his two year doctoral studies at the Chair of Production Management of Prof. Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier, he completed his thesis on Investment under Market and Strategic Uncertainty (co-advised by Professor Lenos Trigeorgis), published an award winning MIT Press book on Competitive Strategy (co-authored with Professor Lenos Trigeorgis) and had an article accepted by the European Journal of Operational Research on Strategic Investment under Uncertainty: A Synthesis (co-authored by, among others, Prof. Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier and Professor Lenus Trigeorgis). A book chapter (co-authored with Prof. Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier) on Capacity-Adjustment Decisions and Hysteresis appeared shortly thereafter in the Springer book The Strategic CFO.
