Real Endowed Assistant Professor Dr. Marjolein Buisman is one of the four nominees for the Beta PhD research award. Her thesis entitled “Reduce and Re-use, studying retailers’ food waste from an Operations Research perspective” shows several actions to reduce the food waste levels at the retailer.
The Beta-research school for Operations Management and Logistics in The Netherlands awards the Beta PhD research price every 2 years, to the best PhD thesis in the field of Operations Management. During the Beta Symposium 2021, the final decision for the 2021 award will be declared by the Beta Board.
